Typhoon Dolphin: Emergency Power Interruption

Share

As part of the power and water restoration efforts in the wake of Typhoon Dolphin, the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation (CUC) will conduct an emergency power interruption to replace a power pole crossarm severely damaged during the storm.

At 10am, CUC will turn off Feeder 2 (first partial), which provides power to the CPA Seaport, Boating Safety, American Memorial Park, Lower Base, Puerto Rico and Garapan (Micro Beach Hotel) to allow linemen safe access to replace the damaged crossarm.

The traffic lights in front of T-Galleria and the Bank of Guam along Beach Road will be affected by the temporary service interruption, as well as four CUC Wastewater lift stations. Work on the project is expected to take three hours to be complete, at which time power will be restored to the area.
