Bank of Guam operating hours

Bank of Guam’s Saipan Garapan and Chalan Piao branches will be open on Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 5 and 6, 2015, from 10am to 3pm. (BoG)

FHB Saipan branches open

All First Hawaiian Bank Branches on Saipan to resume normal business hours on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015. FHB operates two branches on Saipan: at the Gualo Rai Commercial Center on Middle Road and the Oleai Center on Beach Road.

First Hawaiian Bank customers with Internet connectivity may access their account information online through www.FHB.com or may contact the bank’s Call Center for customer service at 1-888-844-4444. (FHB)

Art competition winners to be named Aug. 6

In light of the recent typhoon that affected the community of Saipan, Best Sunshine is fully focused on helping reconstruct the island. Prioritizing the health and safety of the people on Saipan, Best Sunshine has decided to cancel the voting for the art competition as everyone is instructed to stay safe indoors at this time. The winners of the art competition will be decided by Best Sunshine directly and the winners will be announced on Friday, Aug. 6, 2015. The winners will be notified in due time as well.

The top 3 entries will receive cash prizes of $500, $300 and $100 respectively. The top 10 to 20 entries will also have the opportunity to be featured in a high visibility campaign. (BSI)

Re establishment of PHWC Whiskey for NMI ports

SANTA RITA, Guam—On Aug. 4, 2015, the hazardous conditions associated with Typhoon Soudelor (13W) no longer threatens the ports of CNMI. Therefore, the Captain of the Port has reset Port Heavy Weather Condition Whiskey as of 8am, Aug. 4, 2015. Accordingly, the Ports of CNMI are hereby open to all commercial vessel traffic and cargo operations.
However, please be advised that the Tanapag Harbor is now under a safety zone which restricts all vessel traffic within the Port of Saipan to authorized traffic only. Please monitor channel 16 for additional information. Entry of vessels or persons into this safety zone will be prohibited unless authorized by the Captain of the Port or representative by contacting (671) 355-4835. (USCG)
