Two-way tie for Rocball league lead

After two rounds of games in the Rocball League, Benchwarmers and Local Motion are locked a in a tie for the lead with their identical 2-0 records.

Teams G.V.D (Got Very Determined), Veterans, Teachers, Oba Squirt, Mix, and B.I.O. (Bring It On) are in second place with similar 1-1 slates, while Team Nameless is at the bottom of the team standings with its 0-2 card.

Toby Castro of team G.V.D. was the league’s heavy hitter after two rounds of games. Toby has scored eight times in three different types of multiple point plays. He gained five 2-point aces, three 2-point xunks, and one 3-point goal.

In the “Game of the Week,” the Veterans and Oba Squirt scored 21 multiple points plays. As a team, the Veterans dominated the multiple point scoring plays with 10 aces, 4 kees, and 2 goals. The heavy hitter of this game was Mitcaf Tipingeni who registered 4 aces, 2 kees, and 1 goal.

Rocball games are played in four sets. A team can win a game after four sets if it had the lead in points (total) and also won the fourth set. If the leading team lost the fourth set, the game goes in overtime with the trailing squad needing to win twice and the former only once. (Saipan Tribune)
