Two-way tie in Obyan Division

(Contributed Photo) D’Pirates Bar & Grill’s Team Pirata and Wild Bill’s Bar 7 Grill’s Shark attack are tied for the top spot in the Saipan Billiards Association Budweiser Summer/Fall 2011 8-Ball League’s Obyan Division after the conclusion of Tuesday’s matchups.

Meanwhile, Jonny’s Bar & Grill’s IT&E Voyagers is the current frontrunner in the Agingan Division.

Team Pirata edged out Jonny’s Crazy 8 (13-15), 4-3, at home, while Shark Attack endured a 3-4 upset on the road from 19th Hole’s Titans (11-17).

Both top squads hold identical win-loss records of 17-11.

The Titans’ sister team Posku (15-13) improved to third place in the standings with a 7-0 shutout over Jonny’s Team SCS (11-17) at home.

This Tuesday, Crazy 8 hosts the Titans; Poksu welcomes Team Pirata; and Shark Attack calls over Team SCS.

IT&E Voyagers bested second-ranked Docomo Hustlers, 5-2, at home at Jonny’s Bar & Grill. IT&E Voyagers improved its record to 21-7 and now holds a four-game advantage over its rival squad out of Utopia Sports Bar.

Jonny’s Home Boyz Five (14-14) upset third-ranked IT&E Incredibles (16-12), 4-3, on the road at Sand’s Bar, while VFW Post 3457 X-Tream (9-19) defeated Joe’s Bar’s Fotten Palau (7-21), 5-2, at home.

This Tuesday, Home Boyz Five plays home against X-Tream; Docomo Hustlers welcome IT&E Incredibles; and Fotten Palau hosts IT&E Voyagers.
