Two-way tie for Big League batting title

Docomo Pacific-Ol’Aces’ Harry Nakamura has some company atop the Big League’s batting chart as IT&E Fielders’ Patrick Tenorio has moved up for a share of the lead, according to the most recent set of statistics released this past Saturday.
On the mound, Nakamura’s Earned Run Average has increased slightly, but he still remains in second place behind Paradise Island Animal Hospital’s young gun Brian Camacho, who is also faring well at the plate in fourth place.
Hawaiya Technologies, Inc.-Ol’Aces Mike Muna and Natibu Sports Association-Talaabwogh Falcons’ Francisco Lieto remain the supreme sluggers over their particular Junior and Senior League fields, although there was some shifting in both leagues’ pitching ranks as of late, which left DPS-Dare Program-Leep-Enforcers’ Caleb Takao and IT&E Fielders’ Keoni Kaipat as the new ERA leaders of their respective Junior and Senior fields.
Ol’Aces’ Nakamura has bashed 15 hits in 30 at bats, while Tenorio is swinging 18-for-36 for identical 0.500 batting averages.
Sen. Ralph DLG Torres-Rep. Ramon S. Basa-Frederick P. DL Guerrero-Kagman Lions’ Leroy Regis (13-28/0.464), Hustlers-duo Camacho (16-36/0.444) and Jeremy Lizama (13-30/0.433), Fielders’ Carl Camacho (12-28/0.429), Hustlers’ Manny Flores (17-40/0.425), Kevin Villagomez (14-33/0.424), and MacGarette Duenas (11-26/0.423), and Ol’Aces’ Keoni Lizama (13-31/0.419) round out the Top 10, while Ol’Aces’ Rocco Reyes (12-29/0.414) is on the bubble as the only other player above 0.400 with four players swinging over 0.350 and four others above 0.300; statistics were based on at least 22 at bats.
Keoni Lizama’s three homers still leads the long ball race, while Nakamura’s 12 RBIs fronts the pack ahead of Keoni Lizama (11), Villagomez (11), and Flores (10).
Tenorio and Hustlers’ McJarrel Espina lead the league in triples with four apiece, while Nakamura and teammate Diego Camacho share the lead in doubles with five each.
Diego Camacho remains the man to beat in runs scored with 14.
In pitching, Brian Camacho (3-0) has allowed 10 earned runs through 36 innings off 28 hits (9 Games) for a stout ERA of 1.94.
Nakamura (3.62 ERA) and Regis (5.35 ERA) are the only other pitchers with at least 27 innings on the mound.
Brian Camcho’s 56 strikeouts towers over Regis (37), Nakamura (34), and Fielders’ Nathan Guerrero (32).
Junior Ol’Aces’ Muna has accrued 15 hits in 22 at bats for a remarkable 0.682 hitting rate and holds the top spot by over 100 points.
Teammate Jessie Brel (18-31/0.581), Saipan Shipping Company-Jets’ K.J. Deleon Guerrero (15-26/0.577), IT&E Fielders’ Kainoa Wanket (13-24/0.542), Bank of Saipan Red Sox’s Roke Tenorio (14-28/0.500), Jets’ Franco Nakamura (14-29/0.483), Enforcers’ Darrion Jones (13-28/0.464), Jets’ Ben Maratita (11-25/0.440), Red Sox’s Jhace Palacios (14-32/0.438), and Takao (13-30/0.433) fill out the Junior Top 10 with four other players swinging better than 0.400; statistics were based on at least 21 at bats.
Muna’s 12 RBIs paces the field ahead of teammate Verlance Secharmidal (11), Nakamura (10), and Wanket (10), while Nakamura, Secharmidal and Jones are all knotted up in the home run quest with two apiece.
Nakamura and Jones also share the lead in triples with four each, while Muna holds doubles honors with six.
Brel’s 23 runs leads Muna (20), Red Sox’s Jerald Cabrera (16), and Secharmedal (16).
In pitching, Takao (1-3) has given up nine earned runs through 20 innings (six games) off 22 hits for an ERA of 3.15.
Jets’ Jason Villagomez (5.68 ERA) is the only other pitcher with at least 20 innings of work. He also leads in strikeouts with 33 ahead of Ol’Aces’ Terson Eina (27), Natibu-Talaabwogh Falcons’ J.J. Lifoifoi (23), Takao (21), and Wanket (20).
Senior Falcons’ Lieto has cracked 16 hits in 24 at bats and stands tall with a 0.667 batting average. He also holds the No. 1 spot in his division by over 100 points.

A.J. Lizama’s six triples heads the category, while there is a six-horse race for the senior doubles title.
Fielders’ Poland Masaharu has tallied 19 runs thus far and is edging out A.J. Lizama (18), Ol’Aces’ Lancaster Secharmidal (18), Hunters’ Jerome Reyes (17), Steven Cabrera (17), Saipan Shippping Company-Jets I’s Mathew Maeda (17), and three others with 16 apiece.
On the mound, Fielders’ Keoni Kaipat (2-1) has allowed 13 earned runs through 22 innings (five games) off 17 hits for an ERA of 4.14.
Ol’Aces’ standout A.J. Lizama (4.32ERA) and Lions’ Davie Matagolai (10.03 ERA) are the only other pitchers with at least 22 innings under their belt.
