Tsunami Saipan Mid Season Meet tomorrow

Tsunami Swimming Center Saipan will have its second tournament for the 2017-2018 season this Saturday at the Kan Pacific Swimming Pool.
Dubbed as Tsunami Mid Season Meet, the competition will have 15 events and will start at 8am.
Tsunami Saipan head coach Hiro Kimura said his club will be fielding 34 swimmers in the weekend meet, while Saipan Swim Club will be represented by 27 swimmers. Dolphin Club Saipan will also compete in the meet and will have 19 entries.
The tournament will start with the 800m freestyle event and only swimmers that meet the Guam age group swimming time standard (B) are allowed to race in the first event. For swimmers in the 19 and over age group, they should meet the standard in the 17 to 18 division to be able to compete in the 16-lap event.
Also scheduled in the first set of events are the 100m butterfly, 200m breaststroke, 100m backstroke, 200m freestyle, 50m freestyle, and 50m backstroke. The second set of races will feature the 400m freestyle, 100m breaststroke, 100m freestyle, 200m backstroke, 200m individual medley, 50m butterfly, and 50m breaststroke.
The tournament will then take a 10-minute break before resuming action at the pool and having its last two events—the 200m medley relay and 200m freestyle relay.
Times in tomorrow’s meet will be considered for CNMI national and age group records.
