The CNMI Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management will be conducting a tsunami preparedness exercise drill with the students and staff of Oleai Elementary School today, June 3, 2021, at 8:30am.

The students and staff of OES will be making their way from the elementary school through Texas Road on to Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road and up As Terlaje Hill to the Northern Marianas College campus.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution as the outer lane of Chalan Monsignor Road will be closed off from Oleai up to the NMC campus and residents along Texas Road are advised to secure any loose pets for student and faculty safety.

The drill is being done in collaboration with the Public School System, the Department of Public Safety, and the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services.

HSEM would like to thank the community in advance for their patience as we work to prioritize student safety and emergency preparedness in the Marianas.

For any questions or concerns, contact the CNMI State Warning Point at 237-8000. (PR)
