TSL Foundation, TanHoldings donation promotes school spirit

Marianas High School and Saipan Southern High School students and teachers received dri-fit shirts from Tan Siu Lin Foundation and TanHoldings on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016. Kagman, Tinian, and Rota high schools will receive these dri-fit shirts as well.

In the Christmas spirit, TanHoldings president Jerry Tan accompanied the distribution team to help hand out the shirts to both schools. Each student will receive a dri-fit shirt, custom-printed with their school logo in front, and an “Eat Healthy & Exercise Daily” logo in the back.

Bobby Cruz, vice principal of Marianas High School, expressed his gratitude for the donation. “Tan Holdings continues to be one of Marianas High School’s greatest educational partners. To promote school pride and celebrate strength in diversity, TanHolding generously donated 1,700 dri-fit shirts featuring the MHS school colors and logo. Before the holiday break, everyone of our Mighty Dolphins will receive a shirt. The students and staff have been excitedly awaiting the shirts, so now that we have them, our Mighty Dolphin family would like to extend our gratitude to TanHoldings for their legacy of generosity to our island community and support of MHS. It truly takes an invested community to help students ignite a passion for perpetual discovery and fosters an unrelenting desire to keep pursuing their dreams. Donations from all our partners show our students that their community stakeholders care and are behind them! Thank you ,TanHoldings!”

Saipan Southern High School’s vice principal, Jonathan Aguon also said, “Saipan Southern High School is incredibly grateful and appreciative of this generous contribution. It is fitting that this was made during the holiday season to cheer and foster the spirit of giving. Students are excited to receive their shirt. They were surprised to see that many donated to the school.”

This donation is a part of the $50,000 TanHoldings and TSL Foundation gave to the Public School System. Tan shares the foundation’s passion and commitment in the value of education and sports and hopes this small gesture will be cherished by the students.
