TSL Foundation supports Rotary golf tournament

The Tan Siu Lin Foundation is backing the 2021 Rotary Club of Saipan’s Open Golf Tournament that will be held tomorrow on the east course of the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort.
The TSL Foundation, led by its executive director, Merlie Tolentino, donated $1,500 to the Rotary Club of Saipan in support of the tournament, whose proceeds will be used by the latter to continue providing services to the community.
“We are deeply grateful to the Tan Siu Lin Foundation for their unwavering support to the Rotary Club of Saipan through the years. It is through the generosity and commitment of our supporters that Rotary is able to implement our program even at these difficult times,” Rotary Club of Saipan president Sonya Dancoe said.
Tolentino, meanwhile, acknowledged Rotary and its hardworking members and officials for finding ways to help the community despite the challenges that everyone is facing right now due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are fortunate to have the Rotary Club of Saipan and other organizations that remain dedicated to serving our community, especially at these trying times,” Tolentino said.
Rotary is holding the golf tournament, as the fate of the group’s main fundraising event—the Las Vegas Night—is still uncertain due to pandemic.
This weekend’s competition has drawn 120 golfers and they will battle for the Low Gross and Double Peoria Top 5 honors. Hole-in-one prizes are also at stake in tomorrow’s tournament with Joeten Motors and Triple J Motors offering cars for the lucky ace winner.
Raffle prizes, including a complete golf set from DPA Car Mart, will also be awarded at the banquet that will held at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan. (PR)
