The Tan Siu Lin Foundation welcomes the return of Triple J Saipan 5K Family Fun Run/Walk’s Bubble Color Run by donating $10,000 to the event and serving as platinum sponsor for this Saturday’s race.

Merlie Tolentino, executive director of the TSL Foundation, handed over the donation to Triple J Saipan executives in a brief ceremony last week and renewed the foundation’s commitment to programs that encourage the community to stay active and bring together people to support a worthy cause. Proceeds from this year’s Triple J Saipan Bubble Color Run will go to the Marianas March Against Cancer and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The 5K event had its last race in 2020 before taking a break in 2021 and 2022.

“We are pleased that the Triple J Saipan Bubble Color Run is back this year and like the previous editions of the event, we are honored to partner with Triple J in helping provide our community an activity that everyone, especially families, can join and enjoy,” Tolentino said.

As the name of the event suggests, Triple J Saipan Bubble Color Run will have its participants looking forward to having foam and colored powder splatter on their clothing as they go through the course. Tomorrow’s event will start at the Garapan Fishing Base behind the Garapan Farmer’s Market along Beach Road with participants going south kilometers toward the Quartermaster intersection. The turnaround point is before the Quartermaster traffic lights and participants will head back to the Garapan Fishing Base where free food and beverages from Payless Super Fresh & Truckload Store and Great Harvest Bread Co. await them as well as a grand raffle prize—a round trip ticket to anywhere in Asia or Micronesia.

“On behalf of Triple J Enterprises, Inc. and affiliates, we extend our sincerest gratitude to the Tan Siu Lin Foundation and Tan Holdings for their generous contributions. For 39 years, we strive to improve lives and build better communities. It is companies and teams like yours that help us achieve these goals,” said Khristine Lujan, Triple J Enterprises, Inc. vice president for Marketing and Publications.

This year’s Triple J Saipan Bubble Color Run is expected to draw 1,400 participants and 250 volunteers. (PR)
