The Tan Siu Lin Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to the Saipan Chamber of Commerce and its programs by supporting SCC’s Cloaks & Tiaras Business Person of the Year Gala.

The TSL Foundation is providing platinum sponsorship to Chamber’s annual fundraiser, which will be held this Saturday, Jan. 29 at the Kensington Hotel Saipan. Funds that will be raised from the gala will be used in the Chamber’s scholarship program and in providing online seminars, workforce development training sessions, and support to small businesses on the islands.

“On behalf of the Saipan Chamber of Commerce board, I would like to thank the Tan Siu Lin Foundation and TanHoldings for their continued support to our programs. We are humbled and we appreciate the assistance that we are getting from TanHoldings every year. Their support is channeled through the Chamber to help send students to schools, assist our community in various projects, and strengthen our workforce,” said SCC president Joe Guerrero.

Guerrero received the TSL Foundation’s sponsorship and donation last Wednesday and was joined in the ceremony by TanHoldings executive Alex Sablan, SCC secretary Marcia Calvo, and coordinator Franco Santos.

TSL Foundation executive director Merlie Tolentino lauded SCC for its continued efforts in providing scholarship opportunities to CNMI students, who are the future of the local workforce. She would also like to congratulate the awardees at the gala.

Besides the Business Person of the Year, the Chamber will also recognize the Small Business of the Year, Start-up of the Year (new award), Nonprofit of the Year, Saipan Young Professional of the Year, and Chamber Member of the Year awardees in this weekend’s event. (PR)
