TSL Foundation has renewed its commitment to trades education in the CNMI by again donating $1,500 to the Northern Marianas Trades Institute’s 4th Annual Gala, which will be held this Friday, July 26, at the Hyatt Regency Saipan.

The annual event is a time in which NMTI offers awards that include the Jose “Joeten” Tenorio Award for Distinguished Benefactor, Robert Jones award for Excellence in the Culinary Arts, Jose Ayuyu Award, for Excellence in Hotel and Restaurant Operations, Tun Donicio Torres Award for Excellence in the Construction Trades, the Tony Pellegrino Award for a student’s career achievement, and the Vicente Sablan Award for being a Trailblazer in Trades.

The awards are named after some great pillars in the community.

“We’d like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the TSL Foundation, [TanHoldings] president Jerry Tan and foundation board members for donating to this year’s NMTI gala,” said Agnes McPhetres, NMTI’s chief executive officer. “Throughout its existence, the TSL Foundation has always donated to various charities, organizations, sports events and other community events. They are truly an active community stakeholder. The CNMI is blessed to have them doing business here locally,” she added.

NMTI continues to preach throughout the community that trades education can only be done through hands-on education.

Gala tickets are priced at $100 per person and can be bought by calling Ross Manglona at (670) 322-6684. (PR)
