As part of its mission to support workforce development in the CNMI, the Tan Siu Lin Foundation recently donated $3,000 to the Northern Marianas College.

“We support the college in its efforts to enhance its programs and services for students who are working to improve their lives through education,” Tan Holdings CEO Jerry Tan said. “We wish the best of luck also to all the players in this year’s tournament.”

The donation from the TSL Foundation, the charitable arm of Tan Holdings, was made in support of NMC Foundation’s 17th Annual NMC Foundation Golf Tournament, which will be held on March 19.

“The success of the NMC’s golf tournaments, including this year’s, is largely due to the generosity and involvement of organizations like Tan Siu Lin Foundation and the Tan Holdings,” said NMC president Galvin Deleon Guerrero, EdD. “We are grateful for the company’s involvement again this year.”

NMC’s Golf Open will be held on the east course of the LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort. Showtime is at 6am, and the shotgun start will be at 7am. The tournament will follow a medal play format.

First place winners in the men’s Championship, A, B, C, Senior, and Ladies Flights (low gross and low net) will each receive $500, while $300 and $200 will go to the second and third place finishers, respectively. Hole-in-one prizes also include a brand new 2022 Civic Sport Hatchback from Joeten Motors, a brand new 2022 Hyundai Kona N-Line from Triple J Motors, a brand new 2022 Toyota Camry from Atkins Kroll Saipan, and $5,000 from McDonald’s.

The tournament will also feature many other items such as raffle prizes like smartphones, hotel stays, meals, and much more.

Registration for this year’s tournament is closed as the maximum number of players has been reached. Those who have not registered to play, but would like to be placed on a player wait list can contact 237-6780.

The college is asking companies, organizations, or individuals who are interested in sponsoring holes and/or for any in-kind or cash donation to help support the CNMI’s post-secondary institution. For more information on how to become a sponsor, call 237-6780 or email carla.sablan@marianas.edu. (PR)
