Tropical depression peters out

The remains of Tropical Depression 28W were centered northwest of Pohnpei and its remains were moving west at 15 mph and will likely turn toward the west-northwest then will pass south of Guam as a remnant circulation Monday or Tuesday.

The remains of Tropical Depression 28W remains should bring another round of wetter and more unstable weather from Monday through Tuesday. Wind speeds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph near showers will be possible along with isolated thunderstorms and localized minor flooding.

The CNMI Emergency Operations Center-State Warning Point is advising residents to maintain necessary precautionary measures for possible gusty winds and heavy rain and to also stay informed on the latest statements or advisories.
