Triple J Saipan, Inc. has signed on as a title sponsor of the annual Green Gala of the Micronesia Islands Nature Alliance, with a check presentation at the Surf Club Restaurant in Chalan Kanoa last week.
Representatives of Triple J Saipan and MINA came together to discuss common concerns and priorities about the challenges currently facing the Marianas.
“The environment and conservation of our islands’ natural beauty is a priority that Triple J is proud to support, and we feel that MINA’s programs are a great asset in creating an awareness of the importance of keeping our land and sea litter free,” said Mike Sablan of Triple J.
Dave Guerrero, treasurer of MINA’s board of directors, expressed the organization’s appreciation and commitment to the environment. “MINA is grateful for the continued support of Triple J Saipan. It is MINA’s mission to look after the health of our environment and I’m glad that this esteemed company supports our efforts! Thank you to them and to everyone else who supports us.”
Triple J corporate controller Tracy Guerrero said: “The Jones’ family cares deeply about our community and our environment. They wholeheartedly support MINA’s efforts and look forward to partnering with them to care for our beaches and ocean.”
Triple J Saipan, Inc. is also one of MINA’s Adopt-a-Bin sponsors, another program that supports MINA’s mission to empower communities to work together to conserve the environment.
The company plans to participate in the International Coastal Cleanup hosted by the Division of Coastal and Resource Management on Sept. 15, and will be cleaning up the beach from Laly 4 to Lino Olopai’s beachfront.
“We thought it to be an opportune time to take part in a community service as well as spend the afternoon enjoying the beach with our fellow colleagues and families,” said Frank Ada, Triple J’s director of Human Resources.
Tickets for the Green Gala are available now at the MINA office or from board members. Call MINA at 233-7333 for more information. (MINA)
