Triple J Motors donates 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander SE

As part of its longstanding commitment to supporting volunteer-driven projects that benefit the community, Triple J Motors Saipan today announced that it is donating a brand new 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander SE, 7-passenger SUV that will be used as a hole-in-one prize at the upcoming 21st Governor’s Tournament of Champions.
“Funds raised from the Governor’s Tournament of Champions have been used to pay for important destination-enhancement projects throughout Saipan,” said Triple J Motors general manager Randy Steele. “We are delighted to be part of this year’s event again and wish all the players good luck!
“Triple J Motors’ donation of a vehicle known for its visual appeal and hi-tech capabilities will be a great draw for golfers,” said Ben Babauta, tournament director. “We are thankful for the company’s donation and commitment to the tournament all these years.”
The 21st Annual Governor’s Tournament of Champions will be played at LaoLao Bay Golf and Resort’s East & West Courses on Aug. 6 and 7. The two-day event is bigger and better than ever with exciting hole in one prizes, and the chance to walk away with over thousands of dollars in possible prizes. The TOC tournament fee is $200.
First place winners in the Men’s Championship, A, B, C, Senior and Super Senior Flights will each receive $500 cash, $400 for second, $300 for third, a GoPro camera to fourth, and $100 DFS gift certificate for fifth place. The Ladies Low Gross champion will receive $500, $400 for second, and $300 for third place. The first, second, and third place winners of the Ladies Low Net will receive a trophy. On top of all the great awards and prizes all winners will also receive a special Triple J Winners Bag, filled with gift certificates and other goodies from Triple J Saipan’s affiliated businesses.
Over hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of prizes is at stake in the two-day tournament, including a $10,000 hole-in-one cash prize courtesy of Pacifica Insurance. Other hole in one prizes include a brand-new 2016 Toyota Highlander courtesy of Atkins Kroll (Toyota) and a one-year of free golf donated by Saipan Laolao Bay Golf and Resort.
Since its inception, the Governor’s Tournament of Champions has given over $700,000 to the Saipan Beautification Fund which has gone directly to improvements like the tree-lined traffic medians that stretch from Garapan to the former Palm Resort Saipan, as well as the revitalization of the Garapan special district. In addition, TOC also contributed funds for the Paseo de Marianas, the lighting of the Saipan Beach Pathway, and the beautification of the Port to Park pathway.
