The Transpac group of companies will again be a premier sponsor for this year’s American Red Cross-NMI Chapter Walkathon.

“We are grateful that the Coke-Subway-Foremost-Scoops-Glimpses group of companies will be supporting our ‘Walk for the Red’ event,” said Jennifer Deleon Guerrero, co-chair of the 2018 Walkathon. “Transpac has a long history of helping our community, particularly with events focused on fitness.”

This year’s walkathon will take place on Saipan, Rota, and Tinian on Saturday, April 14. In addition to the 10K course there will be 5K and Headstart 2K courses for the younger children. A $20 donation to the Red Cross provides entry to the walk, an event T-shirt, prizes and refreshments from Coca-Cola, Subway, and Foremost.

The Red Cross Walkathon is the largest walking event in Micronesia with more than 3,000 participants.

Prizes will be given out to schools with the most number of walkers and to those individuals and schools that raise the most funds.

For more information about the 32nd Annual Walkathon or how to volunteer, call the NMI Chapter at 234-3459. (PR)
