LITERARY NOOK
Tragic Trumpty Tweeter Tales
Readers take note: All fictional folks who turned in reports and grades for this doggerel were told no “F” grades would be accepted. D minus would be the lowest grade for the record. With these guidelines Donald scored “perfect” D-minus grades all the way down. This poem was inspired by Steve Schmidt, member of the Lincoln Project, and TV commentator who recently described POTUS 45 in a TV interview as “…deplorable, despicable, and disgraceful.”
Donald’s D-Minus Report Card
Double trouble double down sonnets on it
Donald’s double down disease delivers dirt daily
dependent on family money he declares independence
deferential to himself he is indifferent to others
dedicated follower of himself; dedication to no other
demagogue deluxe—an angry augury of demagoguery
deaf to reason, deaf and dumb to compromise or pleasing
demands loyalty pledges, pledges nothing to his staff
dejected by any opposition; dejected when rejected
despicable Donald, conspicuous and crass consumption
despite reasonable advice fires reasonable thinkers
deposits his emolument money in Deutsche Bank
decimates those who ‘dis’ his form of democracy
deplorable remarks on Sen. John McCain and women
devolution of democracy, plutocratic partisan personified
denigrates anyone who crosses him in any way
dethroned Dr. Fauci and others more popular than him
disgraceful embarrassing behavior with world leaders
determined to ruin respect for the US presidency
devours fast food facts; the US Constitution not so fast
disturbed and disturbing affect demonstrated daily
decisions made off the top of his head, no discussions
destroys careers of loyal lifelong civil servants
destruction of Pres. Obama’s legacy a major goal
damn foolish tweets and frequent grammatical errors
Denier! Holds both the Duke and Dean of Denial title
determination full speed ahead for environmental folly
deadbeat on years of tax returns and plenty promises
desperately needs a deus ex machina with protestors.
