Traders Insurance has joined a growing list of businesses and individuals that have thrown their support to the 2016 Marianas March Against Cancer. The annual event is set on May 13 and 14 at the Hopwood Junior High School grounds in Chalan Piao.

Traders Insurance manager Ernesto Licop led the check presentation to MMAC officials and staff of the Commonwealth Cancer Association yesterday morning in their new office in Chalan Kanoa.

Licop said Traders Insurance has been a strong supporter of the MMAC and the advocacy it promotes to the community. It is also their company’s way of showing their support to cancer patients and their families.

“We have been supporting MMAC for many years and we will continue to do this to show our support to all unfortunate people who are suffering from this dreadful disease,” said Licop. “We are looking forward to see more companies join MMAC every year.”

Krizia Mendoza, the eldest daughter of owners Lito and Malou Mendoza, was also present along with their personnel Jenny Ariar, Ricky Castro, Ferdinand Javellonar, and Chona Laguador. Krizia remains a member of the MMAC committee after serving as overall vice chair last year.

“We are always excited to contribute to such a worthy cause. MMAC is a once-a-year event that the whole community should take part of. We hope to see everyone at this year’s event,” said Malou Mendoza.

Licop said their donation is also their way of giving back to the community that has supported and helped Traders Insurance grow through the years.

“We like to express our heartfelt thank you to all our clients who continue to support us for many years. Thank you also to all our hardworking staff for our success and for having the opportunity to share their blessings for a good cause,” Licop added.

Traders Insurance donated $1,000 to join Tan Holdings, Delta Airlines, Dr. Ignacio Dela Cruz and family, Triple J, the Saipan Mayors Office, IT&E, Joeten Dai Dai Charitable Foundation, and Marianas Variety that had thrown their support to MMAC.

Tan Holdings had teamed up with Kagman High School, JDCF with Marianas High School, and IT&E with Saipan Southern High School. They along with the other teams are doing their own fundraising activities where proceeds would go the Commonwealth Cancer Association.

Geri Dela Cruz is this year’s overall chair with Chris Concepcion as vice chair. Emanuel P. Borja, Ashley Benavente, Daniel Brown, Matthew Deleon Guerrero, Carol Hosono, Nola Hix, Jackie Che, Catherine Attao-Toves, Tara White, Bobby Cruz, Mark Sonoda, Jenypy Sambile, Diana I. Benavente, Janine Nogis, and Ricky Itibus are the committee members.
