Track facility closed to public Friday, Saturday

The Northern Marianas Sports Association has announced that the Oleai Sports Complex’s track and field facility will be closed to the public this Friday and Saturday to give way to an athletics competition.
This Friday, Dec. 16, the track will be closed from 4pm onwards, while on Saturday, Dec. 17, the facility is off limits to the public from 5am until the Northern Marianas Athletics completes its events for the NMA Open Track Meet.
The NMA will have the long jump, shot put and 200m, 1,600m, and 4x100m relay runs for this Friday’s competition, while Saturday’s events lined up include the 5K, 100m, 400m, and 4x400m relay races and the discus and javelin throws.
Regular operating hours at the track and field facility will resume on Sunday, Dec. 18. (PR)
