The DanDan Middle School Tottots boys varsity volleyball team is on a four-game winning streak in the NMIVA-PSS Interscholastic Middle School Volleyball League 2022-2023.
Their latest conquest came against Saipan Community School on Tuesday at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.
The Tottots’ rotation of Jordan Agulto, Rodel Apostol, Christopher and Tyler Cruz, Arvin Hornejas, Shayne Ngircheungel, Matthew Peters, Kallan Seidler, Dane Tibayan, Bernard Villagomez, Andrei Viola, Endree Yangilmau, and Joshua Yorormad, trampled through the Guardians in two swift sets, 21-14, 21-10.
The Guardians tried to stave off the Tottots in the last set to try and force a third tie-breaking set, but the Tottots had the upper hand and finished the game to save and add their fourth win in their streak.
The Tottots’ faced off with the Tanapag Middle School Tatagas last Feb. 23 and won in two sets, 21-16; last Feb. 21, the Tottots won against Mount Carmel School, 21-18, 21-8; and last Feb. 16, the Guardians fell to the Tottots for the first time in three sets, 21-16, 15-21, 15-3.
Save for its loss against the Tanapag Middle School Tatagas last Feb. 7, the Tottots are now on top of the Pool A varsity standings with 6 wins.
In other results on Tuesday, the Tatagas survived against Hopwood Middle School in three exciting sets, 21-18, 22-21, 15-10; Grace Christian Academy outlasted Francisco M. Sablan Middle School, 21-19, 21-16; Saipan International School defeated Agape Christian School, 21-7, 21-18; HMS JV beat ChaCha Ocean View Middle School, 14-21, 23-21, 15-8; and DMS JV won against SIS JV, 21-6, 21-7.
In Pool A standings behind DMS is TMS with 6 wins and 2 loss; SCS is at an even 3-3; HMS is 2-4; and Mount Carmel School has yet to win with 6 losses.
In Pool B standings, SIS leads with 6 wins; Agape Christian School is at 5-3; GCA is 4-2; FMS is still 1-5; and COVMS has yet to win with 6 losses.
In the junior varsity standings, HMS is undefeated with 3 wins; DMS has a 3-1 card; SCS is 1-1; COVMS has 2 losses; and SIS has 3 losses.
