Gov. Ralph DLG Torres will hold a presentation this Friday to the Legislature to share his expenditure plan for the $481.87-million American Rescue Plan Act funding that the administration recently received.

Torres will also be inviting the municipality mayors and the Judiciary to the presentation, he said at a radio news briefing Friday.

The presentation will also show the guidelines that need to be followed in spending these ARPA funds.

The governor said a lot of departments, entities, nonprofits, businesses in the community, and different government branches are also asking for assistance. “We do have guidelines that we need to follow,” he pointed out.

Torres said one of the reasons why he created the Infrastructure Recovery Program is to assist the departments on these programs and projects. “It all depends on what projects need to be rolled out,” said the governor, adding that he expects these funds to start rolling out within a month.

Torres said there’s different costs, different amounts for different projects.

Torres said the goal is to spend this money as fast as they can, while making sure that the guidelines are followed.
