Gov. Ralph DLG Torres gave non-critical government employees an administrative leave following the Liberation Day festivities.

In a memo yesterday, Torres said that non-critical government departments and agencies are granted an administrative leave for the full day of July 5, 2017, provided that “essential public services are not disrupted.”

All government employees are urged to “join the [Liberation Day] festivities,” starting with tonight’s annual Liberation Day parade as well as the annual Liberation Day festival at the Garapan Fishing Base. Fireworks may be involved in the celebrations.
