As part of its commitment to support community projects, Island Training Solutions has donated in-kind support and cash totaling $1,500 to the 21st Annual Governor’s Tournament of Champions that will be held this weekend.
“Many local community projects, including those that are now enjoyed by residents and tourists alike, were made possible by funds raised from the Tournament of Champions,” said Island Training Solutions president Jim Arenovski.
“We are proud to be assisting in making this year’s Tournament of Champions a success. The TOC fits right with our plan and mission. While the TOC helps the destination enhancement on the physical side, Island Training Solutions helps destination enhancement through improved guest service or guest interaction. Just as our visitors expect clean sites and well-groomed areas, they also expect great customer service and interaction from the staff of airlines, hotels, restaurants and retail outlets. Plus if you are a golfer, it is the best two days of golf each year, where friends and colleagues get together for a great cause,” he added.
This year’s TOC will be played at the Laolao Bay Golf and Resort’s east and west courses with the two-day event offering bigger and better than ever hole-in-one prizes and cash and raffle prizes for a tournament fee of only $200.
First place winners in the men’s Championship, A, B, C, Senior and Super Senior Flights will each receive $500 cash, while $400, $300, a GoPro Hero Camera, and $100 DFS gift certificate will go to the second to fifth finishers. The Ladies Low Gross champion will receive $500, $400 will go to the second placer, and $300 to the third. The Top 3 winners in the Ladies Low Net will receive trophies.
Hole-in-one prizes include a brand new 2016 Ford F150 from Joeten Motors, a brand new 2016 Toyota Highlander from Atkins Kroll, a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander SE from Triple J Motors, $10,000 cash prize from Pacifica Insurance, two business class tickets to the U.S. from Delta Airlines, one economy class ticket to anywhere in Europe from Asiana Airlines, and one year of free golf from Laolao Bay Golf and Resort.
TOC, since its inception, has given over $700,000 to the Saipan Beautification Fund which has gone directly to the improvements of the tree-lined traffic medians that stretch from Garapan to the former Palms Resort Saipan.
