They lied to us

After not receiving any mail for over a week, I suddenly got a whole bunch of letters and packages on Monday, March 14. Among the letters were two sent from Guam and postmarked Feb. 23 and Feb. 25, along with a credit card statement whose payment date was March 5. Normally, I would have received this statement a week before the end of the month, thus it was over three weeks late.

So, the statements by a USPS spokesperson and a United Airlines spokesperson that there is no backlog on Guam ARE LIES. The doctor who stated that mail was backing up on Guam was correct. Thanks to him, we are finally getting our mail.

This is no reflection on the Saipan USPS staff who do a great job distributing our mail under these trying circumstances.
