Theft at Smiling Cove Marina

On Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020, at about 3:16pm, the CNMI Department of Public Safety received a 911 call reporting a theft incident at the Smiling Cove Marina in Garapan. Police dispatched to the scene met with the caller who told police that their cooler had been taken from their vessel while parked within the inner cove of the marina. Specifically, the item reported missing was a white, 250-quart, Yeti brand cooler.

DPS would like to remind the public to be diligent when purchasing, receiving, or storing stolen items, or purchasing fishing and camping equipment from unknown individuals or online. If you or someone you know has been approached recently by any individual offering to sell or gift you a Yeti cooler matching the description, we encourage you to call 911 immediately, or if you wish to remain anonymous you may call the CNMI Crime Stoppers Hotline at 234-7272. Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000 for any information leading to an arrest. (PR)
