Theft at Dolphin store

Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help for a theft incident that occurred at Dolphin Department Store located in San Jose Village.

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at about 10:28pm, police met with the store manager, a 47-year old male, who showed the officers video surveillance of the crime, which was recorded earlier that day.

Two suspects arrived in a maroon four-door sedan, parked in front of the store and entered the establishment at about 12:42pm. Suspect No. 1 is described as a local male, dark skinned, medium built, about 20-30 years in age, wearing a black baseball cap, black T-shirt, and a pair of dark long pants.

Suspect No. 2 is described as a local male, large built, about 20-30 years in age, long hair tied in a bundle behind his head, wearing a dark T-shirt with the word “WORLD” printed upside down in front of the T-shirt. Suspect No. 2 was wearing a pair of blue and white colored shorts and slippers.

Suspect No. 2 distracted the cashier while Suspect No. 1 was seen rolling a large bluetooth speaker system equipped with roller wheels and a collapsible handle to the cashier counter. The cashier was distracted and Suspect No. 1 walked out of the store rolling the bluetooth speaker without paying for it. Suspect No. 2 exited the store and got into the suspect car’s driver seat. Suspect No. 1 followed a few seconds later and placed the bluetooth speaker system into the suspect car front passenger seat before getting into the car. The suspect car drove toward the west entrance of the parking lot area. The speaker system, described as an “IQ Sound” 15-inch professional bluetooth speaker, is valued at $229.
