The Kannat Tabla road, finally!
Your paper of Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, published a worthy news article titled “DPW to begin $2.79M construction on Kannat Tabla road.” I personally believe that such magnitude of undertaking and effective collaborations between the CNMI and the federal government is a clear testament of the right people and at the right time working in unison to produce positive actions that ultimately resulted in the improvement of our citizens’ livelihood, safety, and conveniences.
I join my fellow residents and visitors of Kannat Tabla in welcoming such wonderful news. I will be remiss if I do not share a moment when Gov. Ralph Torres met with some residents of Kannat Tabla after Typhoon Soudelor to hear what his administration can do to fix the perennial road problem. The result of such meeting, his genuine compassion for our people, and strong determination to the fix the problem assures residents of having relief in sight. Finally, the Kannat Tabla Road is getting the dose of treatment it needs to serve the residents and visitors alike.
In closing, on behalf of our residents and visitors of Kannat Tabla, I would like to extend our sincere appreciation to our Gov. Ralph DLG Torres, his Leadership team, and members of the CNMI Legislature, specifically Reps. Larry I. Deleon Guerrero and Frank C. Aguon. Last but not least, the Federal Emergency Management Agency for providing the needed financial assistance. You all deserve our deepest gratitude.
