Thanks for saving my life—twice!
The CNMI’s Medical Referral Program is a “lifesaving” service that we should all be thankful for and I couldn’t help but think about how the program is challenged every week to meet the financial obligations that amount to millions over a year’s time. I know from my inquiries that the governor and Mr. Antonio Agulto are seriously working hard to shore up the Medical Referral Program and there is also a need for many of the services performed in Hawaii and in the Philippines to be shifted to Guam where the new Guam Regional Medical City can now perform many if not most of the procedures, surgeries, and services which will also be a lot cheaper and even more socially preferred due to Guam’s close location and the many family ties in Guam.
But the real challenge to the Medical Referral Program is funding, so if you think everyone should be able to go on Medical Referral—if you think that the Referral Program should not have to worry about funding but be free to concentrate on saving lives—if you think that people with illnesses, especially those facing death, should have access to marijuana—if you have learned that criminalization does not work and that legalization does work, then you can help the Referral Program and solve many other financial challenges of the CNMI by supporting the legalization of marijuana. You can help with a simple phone call or email encouraging your representative and/or senator to support legalization which is a solution to many of the CNMI’s financial woes! One people, one direction for legalization to help us all!
