Thank you for the hospitality

My name is Matt Branch and I am one of the organizers and chaperones of the Hiroshima Johoku High School eleventh grade school trip to Saipan.  Hiroshima Johoku is an all-boys junior and senior high school located in Hiroshima City, Japan, and has approximately 1,200 students.

After a successful program to Saipan in November 2014, it once again gives me great pleasure to thank the people of Saipan for the extremely warm welcome given to the 28 11th grade students during their school trip to Saipan last month.

In particular, I must say a special thank you to teachers and students of Marianas Baptist Academy for allowing us to visit their school and spend the day with them.  Since our return to Hiroshima, many of the students have remarked how much fun they had during the day and have expressed their desire to keep in contact with their “MBA friends.”

On behalf of all our staff and students, I would also like to express my gratitude to Saipan Mayor David M. Apatang and the staff of his office for supporting our program and Mr. Ikuo Yoshizawa, of Saipan Business Language Institute, for coordinating the program.

In October 2016, approximately 120 of our students will be visiting Saipan.  I am looking forward to another successful program and the deepening of ties between Hiroshima and Saipan.
