Temporary water outage on Capital Hill today

Share

Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers on Capital Hill will experience a temporary water service interruption today, July 28, as crews continue work on the Capitol Hill Water Line and Pressure Improvement Project.

At 8am, CUC will temporarily interrupt water service to customers on Capitol Hill, Wireless Ridge, and portions of Chalan Galaide to allow CUC’s contractor, Maeda Inc., to connect the new water main to the current distribution line on Capital Hill.

Work on the project is expected to take up to nine hours to complete, at which time water service will be restored to the area. CUC also encourages all customers in the affected communities to conserve water and that those who have water tanks and cisterns ensure their on-site equipment is fully functional and sanitary.

For more information about the project, contact our 24-hour Call Center at 664-4CUC (4282). (CUC)
