3 Saipan villages experiencing temporary water interruption
Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in the village of Garapan, Chinatown, and Navy Hill are experiencing temporary water service interruptions.
The temporary water service interruption in Garapan is caused by a burnt water well pump resulting in a major water well problem on SQl50 in Sadog Tasi.
Repair personnel are currently addressing the issue and repairs are anticipated to be completed today, March 10. Customers in the affected areas should expect restoration of services by tomorrow, March 11.
The temporary water service interruption in Chinatown and Navy Hill, meanwhile, is caused by a pump failure at the Maui shaft in Sadog Tasi.
CUC water personnel determined the damage to the shaft yesterday morning and commenced the repair process. The repairs will continue and is expected to be completed today, March 10, and water service restored tomorrow, March 11.
