Teams can still sign up in Jets fundraiser
Interested teams can still join the Jets slow-pitch softball fundraising tournament, which will be held this weekend at the Capital Hill Ballfield.
Jets baseball team manager Froilan Camacho said he is still calling on all softball players who want to form a team and sign up before the games start tomorrow at 10am.
“We want everyone to enjoy a game of softball. I want interested teams to show their support in our fundraising tournament. They can still join the regular tournament by tomorrow,” said Camacho.
So far six teams have joined the tournament and they are Team Akkari, Team Berdax, Team Man Gachung, Team Familia, and two from the Jets.
The tournament is co-ed with players in the over 14 age group allowed to compete. Two females must bat and be on the field at all times.
Entrance fee is $100 and teams are allowed a maximum of 20 players. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for the Jets preparation for the upcoming Saipan Baseball League season.
A raffle will also be held during the event and exciting prizes like Pacific Islands Club water park passes, lunch and dinner buffets certificates at Kanoa Resort, PIC, and World Resort are up for grabs. Raffle ticket costs $1 each and if you buy five tickets you get one free.
