Team Koka distributes relief goods on Tinian

Team Koka purchased pillows, pillowcases, blankets, towel sets, $20 gas vouchers, personal hygiene and cleaning supplies and distributed them to a little bit over 300 families on Tinian over the last few days.

Friends and families of Team Koka sent donated items to the island and some monetary help. This relief was a united effort by all those who live off-island and still hold Tinian in their hearts.

VOICES of the CNMI-Tinian Chapter and Team Koka is also proud to announce that they will be holding a “Day of Acceptance” fundraiser at the end of the month.

The Day of Acceptance falls on Jan. 20, a day dedicated to the social acceptance of disability and to honor the late Annie Hopkins. She was the founder of International Symbol of Acceptance.

The self-advocacy groups will hold a Family Fun Night on Jan. 25 for individuals with disabilities and families 21 years and under.

A dinner fundraiser “Dine for Disabilities” on Jan. 26 at Pop’z Restaurant, Tinian strictly for 21 years and above will include a raffle drawing and silent auction.
