Team Falcons bag top places at PGFC

Green Meadow School third-grader Jonathan Borja could not help but shout, “We did it,” after winning first place in the choral speaking event for the grades 3-5 division of the Primary Grade Forensic Competition regional at the Grace Christian Academy last March 3, 2018.

Although she was in Guam to accompany the school’s spelling bee representatives, GMS president/principal Milagros Songcuan congratulated the winners and all those who participated, adding that everyone were already considered winners because they qualified for the regional.

After four months of competing with other private and public schools, the best among the best had to battle the last time to be awarded the top five places for the following categories: Dramatic Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Reader’s Forum, Choral Speaking, and Impromptu in the K-2 and 3-5 Division.

GMS Falcons who qualified from the Kindergarten 5 up to 5th grade from Chalan Kiya and Gualo Rai outdid themselves at the competition. with the mentorship of their coaches: Meliza Umali, Elvie Armea, Analyn Danan, Zenaida Marcelo, Bona Angeles, Analiza Quiambao, Jason Aia, and Rosalie Habijan.

The Falcons were able to bag the top places in most of the categories in each division. With every snack and lunch time, even after-school, the Falcons and their coaches practiced, hoping to bring honor and glory to their parents and the school.

CHORAL SPEAKING:

2nd place: Rhett Garth Agbayani, Angelo Larin, Jericho Hinolan, Sander Guerzon, Christopher Sablan (2nd grade)
5th place-: Shawn Philipp Montoya, Jon Trevor Ortiz, Jiro Hedrick Quindoza, Benjie Escano Jr. (Kindergarten-5)

DRAMATIC INTERPRETATION:
