Team 2 shuts down Team 3 in women’s tilt
The 2015 Dove Women’s Football Fall League kicked off last weekend at the Oleai Sports Complex Field with Team 2 leading the opening week winners list.

Team 2 blanked Team 3, 3-0, in the second game in Division A last Sunday. Guinevere Borja scored a pair of goals to give Team 2 a good start this season, while Irish Pagarao knocked in the other goal. Borja found the back of the net early with her goal in the second minute, while Pagarao lit up the board in the 22nd to hand Team 2 a 2-0 halftime edge. Borja then earned her second goal in the 44th minute, while Team 3 failed to break its silence in the final 30 minutes of play.
Besides Borja and Pagarao, other members of Team 2 are goalie Rachel Masga, Anna Karapetyan, Dianne Pablo, Michelle Masga, Michell and Richelle Kautz, Jhaza Mirano, Marielle Gariguez, Alexa Vergara, Jeraldine Castillo, Maria Castro, Anna Manibusan, and Victoria Diaz. Team 3 has goalie Carla Ballesteros, Bernadette Horey, Pinyarat Shankweiler, Wincel Bubos, Lyka Sally, Mae Ito, Marcy Ermitanio, Nica Gariguez, Diana Maniacop, Jan Travilla, Pearl Santiago, Jayda Mendoza, Karleen Reyes, and Kyla Ito.
In the other Division A pairing, Team 1 and Team 4 settled for a 1-1 draw.
Both teams scored in the second half. Sarah Allen put Team 4 on the board with her shot in the 51st, while Chloe Salvosa made the equalizer for Team 1 in the 68th minute.
Joining Salvosa on Team 1 are goalie Chevy Kate Alipio, Mia Carreon, Elaine Enriquez, De Jana Muna, Anela Duenas, Krizel Tuazon, Christine Aninzo, Mel Borja, Mary Kay Alferos, Britanny Wally, Renita Fleming, Camille Limon, Stephanie Camacho, Tori Youngblood, and Ferleen Esmundo. Team 4, on the other hand, is composed of Amanda Agulto, Madeleine Alegre, Princess Alcantara, Stephanie Lumbad, Ericka Santiago, Gabrielle Race, Rhea Banados, Tera Allen, Ericka Dela Rosa, Stefie Kate Alipio, Liz Pan, Jeralyn Castillo, Gillian Villagomez, Shawna Brenn, and Jennifer Perena.
The four teams in Division A will name their respective squads in Week 2 of the league.
Meanwhile, two Division B (recreational) matches were played at the Koblerville Elementary School Field last Saturday.
MP United and Kanoa FC dueled in the second match and ended up in a deadlock, 2-2. The official match report did not indicate who scored for each squad, while Paire FC and Kagman High School had a friendly game in the first tiff and scores were not listed.
