Teack is SGA November Ace

Jung Eun Teack topped the Saipan Golfers Association November Ace of the Month Tournament held last Dec. 18 at the Laolao Bay Golf & Resort west course.
Armed with a 16 handicap, Teack finished with a net score of 68 following a gross score of 84. He had a front nine of 43 and a back nine of 41.
CNMI Sports Hall of Famer Tony Benavente came in second with his net score of 70. The 6-handicapper had identical 38s in the first nine and last nine holes for a gross of 76.
Das Krishnan and Larry Deleon Guerrero were tied at third with net scores of 71 each. Krishnan got his 71 after a gross of 81 (40-41), while Deleon Guerrero had a 92 gross following a 42 and 50 in the front and back nines.
In the closest to the pin competition, Benavente was without peer in holes No. 3 and 17, while Mariano Fajardo won hole No. 13.
In the longest drive, Rick Kautz brought out the lumber in holes No. 2 and 18.
By winning the November competition, Teack now joins Edward C. Sablan (January), Frances M. Sablan (February), Nick C. Sablan (March), Larry I. Deleon Guerrero (April), Alex Tudela (May), Mariano Fajardo (June), Rick Kautz (July), Das Krishnan (August), Ed Manibusan (September), and Tony Benavente (October) in the 2022 SGA Ace of the Month Tournament.
The SGA 2022 December Ace of the Month Tournament is scheduled this Sunday, Jan. 15. The Ace of Aces 2022 Tournament is tentatively proposed for Jan. 28 and 29 with the January Ace 2023 on Jan. 29, 2023.
