TDI defeats McDonald’s

Top Development Inc. routed McDonald’s, 84-65, during the lone game played in the 2018 JP World Corp. Customer Appreciation Basketball League last Tuesday at the Gillette Multipurpose Gymnasium.
TDI prevailed by catching up with McDonald’s in the second quarter and gaining more cushion in the third period en route to the 19-point winning margin.
Behind at 26-15 after the first period, TDI drew 9 points from Darwin Barbo and 9 more from Raymond Velasco and Sean Rabasto to steal the lead at the break, 37-36.
Before losing the driver’s seat to TDI, McDonald’s earned a double-digit advantage after the first 10 minutes of play behind the 7 first-quarter points of Jaymark De Guzman and 5 each from Justine and McClain Achas .
After a strong start, McDonald’s was held to 10 points in the second quarter and was still outgunned by TDI in the third, 29-19, allowing the latter to take a 66-55 lead going into the final canto. Rabasto showed the way for TDI in the penultimate frame, as he fired 11 markers, while Velasco added 9, and Barbo chipped in 7.
Top Development never relinquished the double-digit lead in the fourth quarter, as Rabasto and Velasco still hit their targets, while McDonald’s was limited to 10 points, anew.
Rabasto finished with a game-high 25 points, while Velasco and Barbo contributed 24 and 20, respectively. De Guzman had 17 for McDonald’s and was the lone double-figure scorer for the losing squad.
Meanwhile, the other match last Tuesday was won by Star Water via default against TanHoldings 2/CTSI.
