The Tanapag Middle School Tatagas boys varsity volleyball team is currently undefeated with three wins in the NMIVA-PSS Interscholastic Middle School Volleyball League 2022-2023 after their recent game last Tuesday at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.
The Tatagas slipped past Dandan Middle School in an exhilarating three-set match after winning the first set, 21-17, losing the second set, 10-21, and bouncing back in the tie-breaker, 15-9.
The rotation of Javen Camacho, Roman Teigita, Ethan and Stanley Magofna, Jan Aeden Cruz, Jon Aeden Pinaula, Konin McCale, Benigno Sablan, Ali Santos Jr., Collin Maratita, Jesse Peredo, Kinluk Sharry, and Wenio Wenio put a stop to the Tottots early on in the last set, as multiple aces and a strong defense at the net held the win for the Tatagas.
Despite the Tottots’ Bernard Villagomez desperately trying to save his team with spikes and digs which brought them to a close 8-13 game, the Tatagas was handed the win after a misplaced spike ended the Tottots’ run for a comeback.
