TanHoldings, Kanoa set for friendlies

TanHoldings Football Club’s girls U15 team and Kanoa FC’s boys U15 squad left Saipan yesterday for a series of matches in the Guam-NMI Friendlies this weekend.

The two visiting teams arrived in Guam late in the morning and were scheduled to play their first game last night. Kanoa was paired against Wings FC in the 7pm match, while TanHoldings debuted against the Islanders in the 5:30pm tiff. Results of neither match were unavailable as of press time.

Kanoa is bannered by players who suited up for the club’s champion team in the 2018 NMIFA Youth Spring League. The Raymond Zapanta-coached squad is made up of Joe Emil Antonio, John Mark Anastacio, Zyrus Lester Bata, Markus and Merrick Toves, Renz Guiller Fauni, Sean Gil, Taehun Han, Brian and Ian Lubao, Jonathan Mindanao, Daniel Mar Pablo, and Ian Karl and Jim Kurt Maniago. Completing the Kanoa delegation is club president Merlie Tolentino, team manager Cristy Villaflor, and assistant coach Sebastien Manabat.

After their game against Wings FC, Kanoa will challenge Southern Cobra tonight at 7pm.

Meanwhile, TanHoldings will also play today and it will take on the Southern Cobra’s girls U15 crew at 5:30pm. Liz Phan will coach TanHoldings, which has Judy Ann Andebor, Allysya Mae Angeles, Emalyn and Mary Joy Aniana, Christine Mae and Clair Eliesa Barrozo, Jenny Ann and Julie Ann Capayas, Marinel Falalimpa, Stephanie Flores, Sydney Camille Hinds, Tyana Kristine Hix, Lovely Joey Loyola, and Rizza Relucio as players.

TanHoldings and Kanoa will have one more game each this Sunday to close out the three-day event.
