TanHoldings FC unbeaten in fall season

TanHoldings Football Club’s boys U14 team finished the fall season of the 2016 NMIFA Youth Fall League with a perfect record after winning their final match last Saturday at the Koblerville Elementary School Field.
TanHoldings crushed Shirley’s FC, 13-0 to wrap up the double-round robin contest with a 10-0-0 win-draw-loss mark. Mark Esalan capped the division champion’s domination in the six-team field with his nine goals in their last match—the most by any player in a single game this season. Joshua Waldo and Thaiphi Austria added two apiece, while William Celeste scored the lone goal for Shirley’s, which was winless in the competition to land at the last spot in the team standings.
With its 13 goals in its final game, TanHoldings, which was also the spring champion this year, had a total of 80 in 10 games—the most by a team in the entire youth league. It gave up the least goal in the division, allowing its foes only 14. Shirley’s yielded the most (90) and logged only 7 goals.
Kanoa 1, MP United 1
In other results, Kanoa forced a draw against MP United.
Thomas Benavente hit the equalizer for Kanoa as he found his target in the 47th minute. Earlier in the 29th minute, a goal from Oliver Lee put MP United on top.
With the draw, Kanoa finished the season with a 7-1-2 record to rank second in the division. The spring champion MP United ended up at fourth place with its 4-1-5 card. Kanoa collected 48 goals (third best in the division) and allowed 18, while MP United was held to 26 and gave up 28.
Paire 10, Matansa 2
Paire clinched the third spot in the team standings following its lopsided victory over Matansa.
Paire got a 5-0-5 mark, while Matansa finished with a 3-0-7 record.
Dylan Mister and Kaden Church handed Paire four goals each in their last game to hike their total to 50 (second most in the division). Jamin Elliot and Robbie Schorr contributed one apiece.
Matansa, on the other hand, drew its goals from Glen Mark Basallo and Elijah Villamero to haul 29 this season while allowing 57.
