Fresh from its title conquest in the fall season of the M-League, TanHoldings Football Club is returning for the spring season of Northern Mariana Islands Football Association’s premier tournament for adult teams.
TanHoldings FC, which defeated the Teen Ayuyus in last month’s championship game, is one of the five squads that have confirmed their participation to the M-League this season ahead of the Jan. 31 deadline. Paire Football Club and Winners/Pacific Eco are also entered in Division A, while Sun Palace will be playing in Division B. TanHoldings FC will also field a team in Division B.
M-League is tentatively set to open its 2018 season on Feb. 18 and interested teams are requested to send two representatives at the coaches/managers meeting on Feb. 1 at 6pm at the TSL Plaza in Garapan. Participating squads must also turn in their roster on Feb. 9.
Meanwhile, TanHoldings FC held a clean-up drive last Saturday at its home field—the Francisco M. Sablan Middle School. Players and their parents, coaches, and volunteers joined the event that also served as a season-ending gathering for the club.
After the clean-up drive, TanHoldings FC president Eli Arago briefed their members about the upcoming 2018 NMIFA Spring Youth League and other competitions that the club will be involved in this year.
TanHoldings will be fielding teams in the U8, U10, U12 (Division A and B), boys U14, girls U15, and U17 divisions of the youth league, which will kick off next month. The club topped the U12 (Division A) of the youth league’s spring season last year and finished runner-up to MP United in the boys U17 age group.
