Guam Department of Agriculture in partnership with the University of Guam Plant Pathology Laboratory is offering a holiday discount on two varieties of tissue-cultured bananas.
Enjoy a 50 percent discount on the popular Williams (a.k.a. Chiquita, which are early producers of high quality fruit) and Guahu (dwarf version of Williams).

More bunelus dagu and eskabechi lessons
The Inetnon Amot yan Kutturan Natibu/Mwiischil Safey me Kkoor Aramasal Faluw is offering free lessons to Chamorros and Carolinians on making bunelos dagu and eskabechi at the Saipan Chamorro-Carolinian Village Cultural Centers Headquarters (1213 Capitol Hill Rd, across from the Workforce Investment Agency and next to the CNMI Board of Parole Office) this Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011.
The lessons will be from 9:30am to 12noon. There will also be pre-mixed bunelos dagu bags, for sale at $10 per 5-lb bag, as well as new Chamorro Christmas songs CDs for sale on Saturday. Participants are also encouraged to bring a small dish (potluck) to share with other participants in celebration of the Christmas spirit.
This Saturday’s activities at the Rota Chamorro Village Cultural Center (in the DCCA office compound) include making coconut leis, bayogu panda bear doll, bagoyu ant doll, and coconut shell bracelet with Plumeria design. The lessons on Rota start at 10am.
These activities are offered by the Association of Native Medicine and Culture, in partnership with the Indigenous Affairs Office (Saipan) and the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs Office (Rota), and funded in part by the Administration for Native Americans.
