Chevy Kate Alipio and Chloe Salvosa scored two goals apiece to lift Tan Holdings FC to a 5-2 win over Paire FC in the girls U15 division of the 2014 NMIFA Spring Youth Football League last Saturday at the Hopwood Junior High School Field.
Alipio and Salvosa fired one goal each in the first half to give Tan Holdings the halftime edge. Guinevere Borja canned the lone goal for Paire and also nailed the second one in the final frame, failing to draw help from her teammates. Alipio and Salvosa lit up the board, too in the final 45 minutes of play, while Krizel Mae Tuazon was the third Tan Holdings FC player to score in the weekend match.

In other girls U15 results, MP United crushed Kanoa FC, while Matansa FC and Shirley’s FC dueled in a scoreless draw.

MP United was on target right from the get-go, firing five goals in the first half. Jayda Mendoza Mendoza drilled back-to-back goals (20th and 24th minute), while Karleen Reyes also had a pair (12th and 29th minute), and Gillian Villagomez drew first blood for MP United with her goal in the ninth minute.

Reyes the completed a hat-trick when she registered MP United’s first goal in the second half, while Villagomez got another one in the closing minutes of the match.

MP United was also victorious in the boys U15 game, topping Tan Holdings FC, 2-0.
Ba Da Lee started off MP United’s offense with his goal in the 28th minute, while Koki Yamada tallied the other goal in the 63rd.

It was the third win in a row in a day for MP United, as its U18 team downed Tan Holdings, 5-1.

MP United opened a 2-0 halftime lead in the morning game at the Hopwood pitch behind the goals of Daniel Lim and Tanapon Unsa in the 14th and 28th minute, respectively. Namki Kim made it a 3-0 advantage right into the third minute of the second half, while Unsa earned his second goal in the 63rd minute to move MP United further.

Two minutes after Unsa’s second goal, Tan Holdings finally scored, thanks to Sean Perez’s goal. However, MP United still had the last say with Lim also getting his second goal 15 minutes before the 90-minute match wrapped up.

In the other boys U18 tiff, Paire coasted past Matansa, 7-3.
Ethan Dickinson had a hat-trick for Paire, while Joe Fruit, Young Hyun Ryou, Ryu Tanzawa, and Billy Hinson chipped in one goal apiece. James Ermitano had a pair for Matansa, which got one goal from Even Belcher.

Matansa was still in the game after the first down, behind by only one, 2-3. Ermitanio scored Matansa’s first two goals (12th and 36th minute), while Fruit drew first blood for Paire off a penalty shot in the 11th. Ryou gave Paire the lead in the 31st minute, 2-1, before Ermitanio equalized. Dickinson’s first goal two minutes before the first half ended put Paire back on top.

Paire never relinquished the driver’s seat from thereon, as Dickinson kept going and got help from Tanzawa and Hinson in the second half.
