Tan Holdings 1 edges MPU
Tan Holdings Football Club 1 won the battle of unbeaten teams in the boys U15 division of the 2015 NMIFA Youth Spring League, eking out a 1-0 victory last Saturday at the Oleai Sports Complex Field.

Tan Holdings 1 stretched its winning streak to five to remain on top of the six-team field, while MP United slid to second with its 4-0-1 win-draw-loss card.
Anthony Fruit scored the lone goal in the match in the 48th minute, bringing Tan Holdings 1’s total to 32 so far. The division leader has yet to give up a single goal this season.
In other boys U15 results, Paire defeated Matansa FC, 3-1, last Friday. Dai Podziewski and Logan Mister hit the board for Paire, which got its third goal off a Matansa miscue. Lolobeyong Benito nailed the only goal for Matansa, which dropped to fourth place with its 2-0-3 slate. Paire moved up to third after improving its record to 3-0-2.
Kanoa FC and Tan Holdings 2 also played last Friday and settled for a 3-3 draw.
Taka Borja registered two goals for Tan Holdings, including the equalizer in the 73rd minute. Borja got her first in the 18th minute, while Joshua Waldo hit the board in the 53rd. Three different players scored for Kanoa with Kirt Andon breaking the ice for the team with his goal in the 24th. Andruw Omelau and Angelo Ada posted the last two. Both Kanoa and Tan Holdings are winless this season and also hold similar 1-4 draw-loss marks.
GIRLS U15
Paire 4, MP United 2
Paire bagged its second win after topping MP United last Saturday at the Oleai Sports Complex Field.
Renita Fleming led Paire with her hat-trick, while Guinevere Borja registered the other goal. Franchesca Bucalig and Gillian Villagomez had one goal apiece for MP United.
Matansa 2,
Tan Holdings 1
Matansa earned its fourth victory after slipping past Tan Holdings.
Angelica Sally made the win goals for Matansa, scoring in the 33rd and 50th minute, while Chloe Salvosa tallied the lone goal for Tan Holdings in the 35th minute.
Shirley’s 3, Kanoa 0
Shirley’s also collected its fourth win after shutting down Kanoa.
Diana Maniacop gave Shirley’s its first goal in the fourth minute, while Mia Carreon made it two in a row 10 minutes later. Jerlyn Castillo handed the division leader its third goal in the 50th minute.
CO-ED U12
MP United 5, Matansa 1
MP United extended its winning run to four in the co-ed U12 division after dominating Matansa.
Howard Grafton and Dylan Cho teamed up in the easy victory as they scored two goals apiece. Jon Villagomez earned the other goal for MP United (4-0-0).
John Edward Fabia gave Matansa its only goal in the match. Matansa dropped to third place in the team standings with its 1-1-2 record.
Kanoa 2, Paire 2
The other co-ed match ended in draw with both Kanoa and Paire gaining two goals.
Kaden Church posted the twin goals for Paire, while Brian Lubao and Merrick Toves scored on each for Kanoa.
Paire matched Matansa and Tan Holdings’ 1-1-2 slates, while Kanoa is at the bottom with its 0-3-1 card.
Meanwhile, games in the boys U18 divisions were postponed, leaving Tan Holdings still on top of the field with its 3-0-0 mark. MP United is at second with its 2-0-1 slate, followed by Matansa (1-0-2) and Paire (0-0-3).
