Taiwan travel agents tour Saipan, Tinian

Three Taiwanese travel media outlets recently spent eight days on Saipan and Tinian to capture the allure of this beach resort destination for their readers.

AZ Travel magazine, Suntravel.com.tw, and Travel Writer 943 featured activities, tells, and eateries in their coverage, distributing 100,000 copies and reaching 80,000 online fans, respectively.

Tourist activities shared on Saipan included golf at Lao Lao Bay Golf & Resort, biking, snorkeling at Grotto, a Las Vegas-style cocktail show at SandCastle Saipan, traditional cooking in an underground oven, wedding options, a submarine tour, a sunset dinner cruise, and tours of Managaha Island, Mt. Tapochao, and Santa Lourdes shrine. Activities on Tinian included fishing, horseback riding, star gazing, discovery flights, and beaches.

“With the wealth of information provided by these media on optional tours and activities, travel tips, hotel bookings and more, we aim to see more travel to the Northern Marianas by Taiwanese,” said Marianas Visitors Authority acting managing director Martin Duenas.

Hotel inspections were conducted at Hyatt Regency Saipan, Pacific Islands Club Saipan, Lao Lao Bay Golf & Resort, Coral Ocean Point Resort, Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan, Mariana Resort & Spa, Aqua Resort Club, and Tinian Dynasty Hotel & Casino.

The media also enjoy seafood dinner at Aqua Resort Club, dinner at Coral Ocean Point Resort, lunch buffet at Mariana Resort, a cultural dinner show at Fiesta Resort & Spa, lunch at 360 Revolving Restaurant, and dinner at Garapan Street Market. (MVA)
