T Galleria wins again at this year’s Corporate Challenge
14 company teams participate
The 14th annual Corporate Challenge was held last Sunday, May 24, 2015, at the Minachom Atdao, Susupe, with 14 teams from 13 companies competing in various games to build teamwork and to earn the title of Corporate Challenge winner.
The sunny morning began with a dance/jingle from each company. Pacific Trading Co. danced and swayed to My Marianas music. Hyatt Regency Saipan showed their spirit in All About The Bass with funk and attitude. T Galleria employees shook their booties with the Saipanda, a fire dancer, and a bear mascot. Dickerson & Quinn rapped their rhythm. Coca-Cola was out in full force with two lead singers, props, and lyrics scripted just for our Corporate Challenge. IT&E promoted great wireless service with island charm. Delta Management’s pride of their customer service excellence was evident in their “best day of my life.” The dances started the day with laughter and fun.

The event was emceed by Zachariah and Crystal Johnson, and loads of photos taken by Ramy Salcedo have been uploaded to the Saipan Chamber of Commerce Facebook page, www.facebook.com/saipanchamber.
SAPARC sponsored the DJ (Soundhire) so that the entire group enjoyed music in between events. The Saipan Mayor’s Office assisted with trash removal and with preparing the venue for the event.
Many of the company teams—Docomo Pacific, Triple J, MarPac, and Fiesta Resort & Spa—have participated in past years, and enjoyed the day with barbecues and employee camaraderie.
Although Coca-Cola was pumped and ready to steal back the title for Spirit Award (they lost last year to Delta Management), the team from Hyatt Regency edged both of them and took home the trophy. Delta Management finished with a solid 57 points for second place and won fabulous prizes. T Galleria finished in first place for the second year in a row with 63 total points. It was a tough competition but a very fun day!
The Chamber was thrilled to have Strategic Gaming Solutions (Club C) join for the first time, and to welcome back D&Q, Bank of Guam, and Pacific Trading. Some member companies—Pacific Islands Club, Saipan Shipping, Cargo Express, and CUC—donated to the event but were unable to participate.
Chamber president Alex Sablan and board members Mable Ayuyu and Nida Palconit were amazing as judges for each activity. They donated their personal time to score each race and activity according to the rubrics provided.
Prizes were generously donated by Marianas Pacific Distributors, Pacific Trading, T Galleria, Club C, Kanoa Resort, Taga Pacific Inc., Take Care Insurance, Fiesta Resort and Spa, IT&E, Coca-Cola, Marianas Business Plaza, Hard Rock Café, Hyatt, and Saipan World Resort.
The Chamber is grateful to all of our member businesses for their generous support and participation in our events, and we look forward to another amazing Corporate Challenge in 2016!
