Sweep for Paire; Kanoa FC-1 prevails

Paire Football Club went 2-0 this week, while Kanoa Football Club-1 earned a shutout win in the 2017 Dove Women’s Fall Futsal League.

Paire played in the lone Division A game last Monday at the TSL Sports Complex and defeated Shirley’s Football Club, 2-0.

For the third straight time, Guine Borja powered Paire to an easy win after scoring four goals. She made her goals in succession, getting her first in the 14th minute and the last three in the 26th, 28th, and 32nd. Lyka Sally and Jeraldine Castillo drilled the two other goals for Paire with the former finding the back of the net in the 10th minute and the latter doing the same two minutes later. Diana Maniacop recorded the pair of goals for Shirley’s FC after hitting her target in the ninth and 38th minute.

Paire completed a sweep of this week’s games as it downed Kanoa FC in their Division B tiff last Wednesday, 4-1.

Anisa Villagomez posted two goals for Paire, earning her first in the ninth minute and the second in the 34th. Miles River and Dorisalynn Ayuyu contributed one goal apiece, scoring in the 13th and 40th minute, respectively. Kanoa avoided a shutout, thanks to Jenisha Dubrall’s shot in the 32nd minute.

In the other match last Wednesday, Kanoa-1 defeated the U16 Developmental Team, 2-0.

Paulynn Grace Joyce made both goals for Kanoa-1, registering her first in the 31st minute and the second six minutes later.
