SVES, Agape win first place in Paseo caroling competition

San Vicente Elementary School, Agape Middle School, and Agape High School took home $750 each for placing first in this year’s caroling competition at the Paseo de Marianas in Garapan as part of the annual Christmas in the Marianas celebration.

Koblerville Elementary School received $500 for placing second, Agape Elementary School received $300 for placing third, and as a consolation prize of $150 were each given to Green Meadow Elementary School, Oleai Elementary School, Saipan International Elementary School, Grace Christian Academy, Mt. Carmel Elementary School, and Kagman Elementary School.

In the middle school division, Hopwood Jr. Middle School received $500 for placing second, Green Meadow Middle School received $300 for placing third, and Chacha Middle School received a consolation prize of $150 for placing fourth.

For the high school division, Saipan Southern High School received $500 for placing second, Grace Christian Academy received $300 for placing third, and Marianas High School received a consolation prize of $150 for placing fourth.

The elementary division contest was held last Nov. 30, 2019, while the middle and high school contests were held on Dec. 7, 2019. The winners were announced last Dec. 14, 2019. The information on the prizes they won were released to Saipan Tribune on Dec. 19, 2019.
