The Saipan Unity Lions Club and the Teen Unity Leos Club donated 10 freshly painted trash bins, recycled from used empty drums that were donated by community sponsors, to the Admiral Herbert G. Hopwood Middle School last Wednesday.

The Saipan Unity Lions Club later said in a statement that this project aims to help to maintain cleanliness in the campus and hopefully instill in Hopwood students the habit of keeping their surroundings clean wherever they may be.

This project was led by SULC president Lion Alicia Barbo, FVDG Lion Atoy Banting, Leo president Vicky Ancheta, and Leo adviser Lion Lhita Cuevas. Present during the turnover were the school’s administrative staff Victorino Borja, Benjamin Seman, and Hopwood Parents Teachers Students Association president Francis Sablan and their vice president, Mildred Ebuen.

The statement said the club and its members are committed to provide more trash bins in the future as they become available. (PR)
